NPFMA Continues Our Longtime Community Outreach Partnership with ThreeSquare!

We are in need of member volunteers to assist with our next scheduled volunteer day at Johnston Middle School.  Register now!

What: You will be helping to handout groceries to those in need through our drive-thru style food distributions. The food is packed by volunteers (that's you!) and then is distributed to the client's in need by loading the groceries into the trunk of their vehicles.  In just one week Three Square distributes an average of $1.3 million lbs. of food to those in need!

When: 3/19 from 7am-10:30am

Where: Johnston Middle School 5855 Lawrence St. North Las Vegas, NV 89081. Please note that this volunteer opportunity IS NOT at Three Square.

Please read the following information before you register for this event:

Day of Details:  When you arrive at the site look for the Three Square truck and the coned area where the distribution will take place.  If there is a line of cars, it is likely the clients lining up early to receive food.  You do not need to wait in this line, please find an alternate route around the line to park and walk to the distribution area.  A Three Square staff member will show you how to sign in and get started.

Dress Code:  Please bring a face covering to wear, they are required.  Please dress for the weather as the food distribution will take place outside.

Other Details: Please note there are no restrooms available onsite.  Any questions can be addressed to volunteers@threesquare.org

Volunteer Safety:

  • Three Square Food Bank is in compliance with strict health and safety guidelines. With excellent guidance from Feeding America and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), we are taking all of the necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, and clients. We ask that anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19 and/or has experienced cold or flu-like symptoms within the last 14 days to refrain from volunteering until fully recovered.
  • If none of the above criteria apply, we welcome your help as a volunteer!  We take the health and safety of our volunteers, staff and clients seriously and as such we are taking the necessary measures to distribute food as safely as possible.  Gloves and hand washing stations will be provided at all site locations.  Please bring your own mask/face cover as they are required to volunteer.  Our offsite distributions will be held using a drive thru model where the clients line up in their vehicles and do not get out of the vehicle to receive their food items.  In addition to this, we are purposefully spreading out volunteers across the distribution site, as best as we can, while still being able to pack and distribute food for the clients being served.  We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and are doing the best that we can to keep everyone safe.
